A safe space to talk
Welcome, and thank you for visiting my website. My name is Amanda and I am a counsellor providing both short- and long-term therapy to adult individuals in Billingshurst, Horsham, Petworth, West Sussex, and online for clients in London and throughout the UK

If you’ve found your way here, you might be looking for someone to talk to, someone who listens and who hears you. I hope to be that person for you. Counselling with me is calm, safe, and centred around you. We’ll work together at a pace that feels right, so you never feel rushed or pressured.
Each of us has our own story, shaped by our experiences, relationships, and the challenges we’ve faced. Sometimes life feels heavier than we expected. We can feel stuck, disconnected, or unsure of who we are or what we want. When the way we see ourselves doesn’t match how we’d like to feel, it can make us feel sad, anxious, angry, confused and other emotions that can be hard to face alone.
Counselling with me means you don’t have to face those feelings by yourself. You’ll have someone alongside you, supporting you as you explore what’s happening within and around you.
Before becoming a counsellor, I spent many years working in senior roles within large, high-pressure organisations in London. Those environments can demand a lot from us, and eventually I began to feel the cost of being there. I became confused about what I needed, disconnected, and uncertain about my direction. Through my own counselling journey, I discovered what truly mattered to me and began to reconnect with joy, purpose, and find balance.
That experience shaped my approach as a counsellor today. I understand how easy it is to be certain of our story and to then discover we have lost our self somewhere along the way. I know how powerful it can be to find your next chapter with the right support.
You don’t have to be struggling with work stress to relate to this. People come to counselling for many reasons; relationship difficulties, grief, loss, anxiety, low self-esteem, or simply a sense that something isn’t quite right. Whatever has brought you here, I offer an opportunity and space to explore what you’re feeling and start to discover the next part of your story.
Outside of my counselling work, I’m a dog and cat mum. I love being outdoors hiking with my dog, skiing when I can, or catching up with friends. I’m also a big book lover.
I often think of life as a book with completed chapters we know so well and the unknown chapters yet to be read. Maybe you’re worried about what’s in your next chapter? Maybe you’re stuck in one that feels too heavy right now? Or perhaps you’re curious about the relationships between the characters in your story. Wherever you are, I’m here to help you look at your story at your own pace.
People come to me for help with a wide range of issues. Here are a few of the more common difficulties that can be supported through counselling:
Depression
Grief, loss or bereavement
Stress
Anxiety
Relationship Issues
Anger
Life transitions
Self Esteem
Feeling stuck
Loneliness
I offer online sessions for clients from London and around the UK. I also offer face to face sessions from a private room in Billingshurst for clients in Horsham. Petworth, West Sussex, Surrey and surrounding areas.
Taking the first step to book a session with a counsellor can feel scary and the unknown can put us off trying. I have felt this way too and I remember what I needed: a simple and clear way to start. You can use the contact form below or email me directly if you prefer. I’ll get back in touch with some time options for you to pick. We will start with a 20minute meeting which will be held online via zoom. I don’t charge for this 20-minute meeting. From there we can decide if we want to work together.
If we decide to go ahead with counselling sessions, I offer sessions online throughout the UK and in person from my therapy room in Billingshurst, West Sussex
Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions about working with me, or if you would like to arrange a free 20-minute consultation using the contact form. This gives us an opportunity to discuss what has brought you to counselling, explore how I may be able to support you, and determine whether we are a good fit to work together.
I am happy to answer any questions you may have before arranging an appointment. I aim to respond to all enquiries within 24 hours, although this may take a little longer outside of working hours and at weekends. All contact is treated as strictly confidential.
This service is not suitable for emergencies or crisis situations. If you need urgent support, are at risk of harm, or cannot stay safe, please contact 999, attend your nearest A&E department, or speak to your GP.
